Busy Little Bees

The anticipation of our 1 year anniversary trip is quickly increasing as the days until we leave are decreasing.  This week has totally flown by so far!  Both Peter and I have been crazy busy at work trying to get everything done that we need to at each of our jobs before we leave tomorrow.  I've been very busy getting all 250 employees new ID cards...it's a lot more complicated than it sounds since they aren't all in the same location, and they all need to come for a picture and to electronically sign the card with one of those pads you use at department stores, etc.  That's been taking up most of my time so it's been hard to get anything else done.  I did massive filing and folder making today also-blah.  On top of that, I had to track all 100 + resumes that have come in over the weekend through this morning...very time consuming!  So basically it's a battle against time for me haha.  Oh well, I'm pretty much where I need to be and will have one more busy day tomorrow and will be GOOD TO GO!  Good thing too because we're leaving immediately after work tomorrow.

Our travel arrangements are a little crazy, but we saved hundreds of dollars doing it so we think it's well worth it!  We are working 8 hours tomorrow then driving right to the airport to check our bags and grab dinner while we wait for the plane then it's about a 2 hr trip to Atlanta, almost an hour layover and about another 2 hr trip to Ft. Lauderdale.  Then it's off the plane at 11 PM, pick up the rental car and drive 2 hours to Naples-whew!  The drive from Ft. Lauderdale isn't too much longer than the drive from Fort Myers so we decided to do it since it was cheaper.  Plus we're hoping there won't be too much traffic that late on a Thursday night.  But then Friday morning we get to wake up at the beach!!!

Besides working hard, most of the rest of our time has been spent packing and getting everything ready to go.  We're mostly packed and spent part of our evening making playlists for our iPod/iPhone.  Peter's dropping Cadi off with Barney tomorrow afternoon so I had to make sure her nails were clipped and get a bag with her food, treats, toys and bed in it.  I'm gonna miss that crazy kitty!
